SHIBU Token Joins Forces with Better World Fund for Humanitarian Causes

Cryptocurrency has opened up new pathways and opportunities for well-meaning individuals and organizations to contribute meaningfully to the world. In recent developments, SHIBU token has partnered up with the Better World Fund to be its official sponsor for the next decade across a wide range of activities and humanitarian causes.

They announced the partnership at the Better World Fund’s two-day event for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities which was held at the Sweden Pavilion, Expo 2020 Dubai. The event also featured a star-studded gala dinner and award ceremony at the Four Seasons Resort, Dubai at Jumeirah Beach. Through the first private sale, SHIBU raised over $500,000 and sent over $30,000 for charity through the Better World Fund.

SHIBU token operates differently from the other cryptocurrencies. President of the Better World Fund Manuel Collins de la Roche explained that it is the only payment method on the influencer and celebrity NFT marketplace in development today. The token has also been earmarked for a wide range of humanitarian needs and causes, and for that, it has gained the support of some of the biggest celebrities in Hollywood and Europe.

Manuel is also a co-founder of SHIBU. The other co-founders are Geraldine Dunayer, Director of the Better World Fund — UAE; Gustavo Antonio Montero, a banker and crypto enthusiast who previously opened Standard Chartered Bank in Switzerland; and Shibu Thomas, who is renowned in pharmaceutics, a major success story in real estate, and the face of Shibu.

The partnership also earned SHIBU an invitation to be a part of the Cannes Film Festival in May 2022. This marks the first time NFT and cryptocurrency will be represented at such a prestigious global event. To make their presence at the event notable, Cannes Film Festival will feature a metaverse scanner indoors to scan attendees’ tokens during the festivities.

SHIBU and Better World Fund will be creating awareness about humanitarian and sustainability issues in the world through education, improving people’s well-being and protecting the earth and everything in it. The partnership opens doors for the crypto space and notable people in the space to throw their weights behind the Better World Fund’s mission of improving the world and people’s lives.

SHIBU will have its presale on January 13, 2022 at 1 PM UTC through their website; it will end on January 17, 2022 at 1 PM UTC. Its first DEX listing will be on January 20, 2022 at 1 PM UTC. SHIBU will donate 13.99% of the presale proceeds to Better World Fund’s humanitarian projects. 12.5% of the remaining tokens will also go into those projects. All the goals and promises are monitored by Hacken, the auditors handling the smart contract to make sure the goals remain firmly in place.
