The COVID-19 crisis has massively affected economies everywhere, leaving industries and their players struggling to stay afloat. All over America, professionals in the beauty industry are in danger of losing livelihood and employment, leaving individuals and families in deep anxiety and fear. One professional, Jessie Klaus, hopes to alleviate some of that fear by helping share this information and spearheading programs that will provide aid to beauty businesses and workers all over.

Jessie Klaus is a fashion hairstylist with years of industry experience. In recent times, she has made headlines for her collaborative efforts with the Professional Beauty Federation of California (PBFC) to help provide salon owners and their employees in the beauty industry access to the payroll protection program. The program will provide financial assistance to all small businesses, but the beauty industry was asked to help tell each other and their clients to help spread knowledge and not fear.

Jessie explained, “The PPP was so misdistributed last time it has literally paralyzed us all from trying to even receive the help because it’s labeled as a loan. It is really easy to get approved and really easy to get forgiven for this money. We are here to actually help take the fear out of this and walk the small businesses that need our help through this process.”

The app @biz2credit has created an organized database that will be one of the first in line as the nation’s COVID-19 PPP plans roll out. The Probeauty Federation partnered with Adesso Capital and Biz2Credit to prioritize the paycheck protection program among the beauty industry, personal service workers, and small businesses in all fifty states across the country.

“I have two kids, and I know what it’s like to feel helpless, frustrated, and unjust,” shares Jessie on what drove her to begin her initiative. “I knew if I couldn’t help clients, I could help relate to others in our industry and see if I could find a solution to our problems. If I could find the right organization to be a part of. Jessie Klaus found that in PBFC and Fred Jones, head of the Professional Beauty Federation. Together, Jessie, with many other industry leaders, have helped share what the PBFC has worked endlessly to spread the word about their payroll protection program campaign to help all professionals in the American beauty industry. They are sharing with other small businesses alike and to keep doing what they love most without having to worry about tomorrow’s daily bread.

Probeauty Federation is working with top-caliber business financing company Biz2Credit, a company that works tirelessly to help small businesses find funding opportunities online. The company has worked with over 225,000 small business owners and has connections with Nexus Venture Partners. Since the early beginnings of the company, Biz2Credit has helped arrange over $284 billion in small business funding for companies all over the united states.

Through the newfound advocacy, calls have started pouring in with requests to join the program. The payroll protection program is already underway as professionals are now receiving money transfers to help with bills and business expenses. Even as the world tries to ease into the new reality post-COVID-19, businesses are slowly getting back on their feet as confidence slowly returns.

There is reason to believe that economic recovery will take a slow course. Still, organizations like the Professional Beauty Federation of California and individuals like Jessie have stepped up to the plate. They are providing people with a glimmer of hope amid the crisis. The beauty service industry is one of the most badly hit segments of the workforce as events have come to a close. But the united effort to help the industry get back on its feet has received a substantial boost with the advocacy that Jessie and PBFC have launched.

“We need our salon leaders to set the example and also thrive on helping us bounce back positively,” shares Jessie. “If we see them fall apart, we’re gonna fall apart.”

Jessie continued, “We’re all getting the help we deserve but what we also know is we haven’t seen enough of that 284 billion. That means we still don’t have enough people applying to receive funds. We urge our industry leaders to continue to share our message, and anyone afraid, and in need of help, we’re here because we care. We come ready and equipped to help in any situation and continue to share lawsuit information that we are fighting to change the future closures of America as well.”

We love you, beauty industry. Let’s rise above this and save our salons now! And keep the communities we love and touch every day together and thrive forward.
