Degen APE Strike Club Brings the Future Closer through Innovative Features That Blur the Lines between Virtual and Reality
For so long, the concept of merging reality with the virtual world had only been that: a concept. Popularized in films, books, and televisions, most people expected it would come true many years from now, but technological innovation has brought this playful idea closer than anyone would have expected.
The innovation of technology has allowed many devices to evolve, paving the way for the birth of the digital space, which has become a staple in the livelihood of millions. In the past decade, many breakthroughs have provided a solution that allows people to enjoy a smoother way to go about their daily routines. Cryptocurrency has provided people with an alternative to hard cash, and with its meteoric success, non-fungible tokens have become one of the hottest trends in the digital space. Although it was developed simultaneously, NFTs only started to gain traction in 2021, inspiring creative and innovative minds to come together with the next big project. Joining the fray is the upcoming project, Degen APE Strike Club.
Like many in the NFT community, the project is an animal-inspired collection of 6,500 tokens with each avatar design inspired by the aesthetics of the sports world. The collection features seven traits engineered to bring a uniqueness to them so no two tokens are alike. The developers have also taken inspiration from projects like cryptopunk and BYAC, implementing a feature that lets the APE adapt with neutral genetic structures.
Degen APEs are also interactive with holders, giving them an edge over other tokens. With their genetic growth trait and mutate development trait, holders can witness these digital monkeys evolve over time. Also, what sets Degen APEs apart from other projects is its ability to interact with others through a game.
“We are dedicated to giving back,” said the team. “For that reason, $50,000 (1,000 STRK) will be given to a reputable charity picked by the community during a vote on Discord. Starting from the bottom, we don’t forget where we came from.”
Strike Club is currently developing Strike games, where Degen APEs holders can enter and interact with one another. The NFT not only acts as a character but also serves as membership cards. The game utilizes STRK as currency. The two projects will also be collaborating with BAYC, Cool Cats, and Billionaire Ape Club; and it will host airdrops that will give ten random NFT holders 100 STRK each.
Degen Apes Strike Club will be able to support NFT staking so holders can earn STRK real trade on centralized exchange. The apes will then be able to connect to Facebook Meta and merge reality with the virtual world, creating endless strike sports playgrounds for everyone. The APEs will also get to play on Metaverse land stadiums, which will serve as a staking place to earn STRK.
With a launch set soon, the project will be looking to host worldwide events, empowering the community from all corners of the world.
