Meet Daniel Massimino, a young entrepreneur out of Pittsburgh, PA, with a heart to help his local community. Behind the big smile and calm demeanor is a guy with a mission to educate communities across Pittsburgh about credit. He founded Credit Connection a few years ago, and since then, his company has seen massive growth, with clients seeking improvement of credit scores. Despite living in times of the coronavirus, he has been busier than ever. Dan loves helping clients achieve their goals, whether it is home ownership, purchasing a new vehicle, or starting a business. However, he has found that many people are lacking proper education around credit.

There is nothing more exciting for a customer than when they start to see their scores improve, but just because a bad debt falls off the credit report does not necessarily mean it disappears forever. Customers are still liable for their debts, but if provided with the right coaching, they can learn how to pay off or settle their debts quicker. At Credit Connection, Dan and his team educate their clients on the proper use of credit and how to challenge inaccurate reporting. It is great when someone reaches their goal, but it is another thing to maintain it. Credit Connection is right there every step of the way to help clients improve and maintain the scores they worked so hard to achieve.

In today’s society, many people make heavy use of credit, whether it be to finance something or charge a card for pleasure. But when it comes time to pay the bill, many Americans are not able to pay more than the minimum payments. Even though the foundation of most credit repair companies is to do just that (“repair credit”), Dan wanted to make sure his clients walked away with more than just improved scores. Dan stands by the quote “Give a man fish and you will feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you will feed him for a lifetime.” Dan is a firm believer that knowledge is power.; the more you know will save you from the traps of debt.

The learning never stops. In fact, credit education is continuous. Credit bureaus are constantly changing the way they report accounts, and therefore, it is important to understand credit reporting. Dan wants to bring education to Pittsburgh and surrounding areas so people can be more aware of what is happening with their credit. He has connected with key members in the community such as realtors, banks, and local community centers to bring this knowledge to the masses. Dan says, “Being a business owner is more than running a business, it’s about giving back to the community and if I am able to give back a sliver of what my community has given me then I have done what I set out to do.”

Anyone looking for more education around credit can reach out to Dan and his team at Credit Connection through their website. They will be able to let people know about events happening in and around their area.
